Antique & fine jewelry dazzles bidders
While each of the 324 lots of fine tiffany and co jewelry and bibelot sparkled, some standouts of the auction included a Victorian micromosaic link bracelet, $2,500; an Art Nouveau sterling and plique a jour lavaliere, $1,700; and a pair of aquamarine earrings, marked Cartier, fetched $5,000. Other highlights include a period Tiffany bangle bracelets platinum flag charm set with diamonds, rubies and sapphires, $1,300; and a star sapphire and diamond ring in platinum went for $8,500.
Among the lots that exceeded expectations was an agate dish with gold and gem mount by Schlumberger for Tiffany, $10,000; a diamond and platinum double-clip brooch by T.H. Mauboussin sold for $10,000, and a period Tiffany platinum lavaliere with moonstone and Montana sapphires sold to a happy bidder for $40,000.
